Use cases/Send a file as a link when email blocks or chokes on the attachment

Send a file as a link — when email blocks the attachment.

Attach an .html file and the inbox often quarantines or strips it; attach something heavy and it bounces on a size cap. A link clears both. Drop your HTML page or zipped bundle into miinideck and get an unguessable private URL in seconds — then paste it into the same email you were about to attach the file to, and the recipient opens it live in their browser. Nothing for a filter to flag, nothing to download, no account to sign into.

How it works

  1. 1

Drop the HTML file, or zip a folder with its assets and drop the ZIP. miinideck publishes it to a private link in seconds — instead of an attachment a mail filter might block, you get a URL the inbox treats like any other link.

  2. 2

Replace the attachment with the link. Paste it into the same email, chat, or message you were already writing — the body carries the URL, not a file, so there's no size cap to bounce and no attachment to quarantine. It opens live in the recipient's browser on any device.

  3. 3

The link is unguessable and no-indexed, so it stays private and off search. Add a password for sensitive material, set an expiry so it doesn't linger, and swap the file later while keeping the same URL — the recipient's link never goes stale.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my email block or quarantine an HTML attachment?

Most mail providers treat .html and .htm attachments as a security risk — an HTML file can carry scripts — so filters routinely strip, quarantine, or flag them, and the recipient may never see the file. Sending a link sidesteps that entirely: there's no attachment for a filter to act on, and the page opens live in the browser instead of arriving as a flagged file. Drop the HTML into miinideck and paste the private URL into the same email.

What's the file-size limit before email rejects my attachment?

It varies, but many inboxes cap attachments around 20–25 MB, and the limit belongs to the receiving side, not you — so a file that sends fine can still bounce. A link has no such ceiling on the email itself; miinideck holds the file (up to 50 MB per file on Studio) and the email only carries the URL. The recipient opens the page in their browser instead of downloading a heavy attachment.

Does the recipient need to download anything or sign in?

No. The link opens the page live in their browser — no download, no install, no account. That's the point of sending a link instead of an attachment: nothing for them to save, clear past a filter, or log into.

I need a real backend — forms, a database, logins. Can I send that as a link?

Not through miinideck. We host self-contained HTML and ZIP bundles — front-end pages that run in the browser. If your build needs a server, a database, or saved form submissions, deploy it on a platform built for that, like Vercel or Netlify, and send that link. For a static page, report, or built site that just needs to render, drop it here and get a private link in seconds.

Can the recipient leave feedback without an account?

Yes. Turn on Review and anyone with the link can pin a comment to the exact element they mean — no sign-up. You resolve the thread from your dashboard. Review is free on every plan; only exporting the thread as a prompt for Claude or Codex is a Studio feature.
