Use cases/Share an AI artifact (e.g. a Claude artifact) as a private link

Share an AI artifact — privately.

An AI artifact is usually a self-contained HTML thing — an app, a tool, a visualization. Once you've exported it, sharing it shouldn't mean a deploy or a public feed. Drop the HTML and get a private link in seconds: the artifact runs in any browser, stays off search, and goes only to the people you choose.

How it works

  1. 1

Export the artifact as an HTML file (or zip a folder if it has separate assets) and drop it in. miinideck publishes it to a private link in seconds, with its JavaScript and styling intact.

  2. 2

Share the link privately — no public gallery, no community feed, no sign-in for the viewer. It's unguessable and no-indexed, so a work-in-progress artifact stays out of search.

  3. 3

Add a password while it's rough, set an expiry, and replace the file as you refine it — the link stays the same, so whoever you shared it with always sees your latest version.

Frequently asked questions

How do I share an AI artifact outside the tool that made it?

Export it to HTML and drop it into miinideck — you get a private link in seconds that opens the artifact in any browser, independent of the tool that generated it. No deploy, no account needed to view.

Is the artifact public once I share it?

No. There's no public gallery or feed. The link is private and unguessable, and it carries a no-index tag, so the artifact is visible only to the people you send the link to.

Does the interactivity survive?

Yes. JavaScript runs, styling applies, and external CDN libraries load over HTTPS, so the artifact behaves as exported. The only thing it can't do is run a backend server.

Can I keep one link as I iterate on the artifact?

Yes. Replace the file and the link stays the same, so you share one URL and it always reflects the current version.

Why can't I just share the artifact from Claude directly to one person?

On individual plans you can, but the result is public. Anthropic's help centre describes publishing on Free, Pro and Max as making your artifact publicly available, with anyone holding the link able to view and interact with it; organisation-scoped sharing — viewers signed into your Team or Enterprise account — is documented against those plans instead. So the available options are roughly everyone or nobody, and 'one named client outside my organisation' isn't one of them. Exporting to HTML takes the work out of that sharing model so the access rules become yours. Plan features move, so check the current help article rather than taking this as permanent.

Can I publish it, send it, then unpublish once they've looked?

Read the documented behaviour before relying on that. Anthropic states that once you unpublish an artifact you cannot publish that same artifact again, and that unpublishing permanently deletes associated storage data if the artifact used persistent storage. That makes it a one-way action rather than a privacy toggle you can flip back — which is worth knowing before you use it as a clean-up step after a client review.
