Use cases/Send an interactive infographic as a private link people explore, not a flat image

Share an interactive infographic — live, on a link.

You built an infographic that does more than sit there — hover for the number, tap to filter, scroll to reveal. Export it as a PNG and all of that dies; it becomes a picture. Drop the interactive version in and get a private link that keeps it alive in the browser, so your audience or a client explores the data instead of staring at a static chart. It opens with no login on their end and stays off search by default, so it reaches the people you send it to.

How it works

  1. 1

Export the infographic as a self-contained page — the HTML with its chart script and data — and drop it in. A private link appears in seconds; no deploy, no account, nothing for the reader to install.

  2. 2

Send the link. The tooltips, filters, and reveals all run in the reader's browser, on a phone or a laptop, so they actually dig into the story instead of reading a flattened image. It stays off search, so a draft goes to your reviewers and not the open web.

  3. 3

Keep it current: re-upload when the numbers change and the link stays the same; add a password for a client-only report; set an expiry on a time-boxed piece; and on Studio put it on your own domain.

Frequently asked questions

Why not just post the infographic as an image?

An image is fine when the story is one glance. But if you built hovers, filters, or scroll reveals, a PNG throws all of that away — the reader can't interact with a picture. A link keeps the infographic live in the browser, so the interactivity you built is the thing people actually get.

Do the tooltips and filters work when I share it?

Yes, if it's self-contained. When the infographic's logic runs in the browser — most chart libraries export exactly that — miinideck serves the live page and every hover, filter, and animation works, on any device, with no account for the viewer.

What if it pulls from a live data source?

If the data is baked into the page, it works here as-is — which is usually what you want for a fixed report. If it must query a live database or an API on each load, that part needs a real backend (Vercel or Netlify), and you'd share the static front end here while the data service lives there.

Can I use it to collect leads?

Yes — turn on the email gate and the infographic shows blurred until a visitor enters their email (plus a few fields you choose), which you export as CSV. It's a soft gate capped by plan (15 Free / 500 Solo / unlimited Studio), with no direct sync to a mailing tool yet. Good for gating a data report behind a signup.

Is it private, or will it show up in search?

Private by default. The link is unguessable and no-indexed, so a draft report never surfaces in search and only the people you send it to can open it. Password it for a client, and set an expiry so an old version doesn't stay live.
